Identifying and discussing issues regarding authenticity, maintenance, and value. Thereby, enhancing the knowledge and understanding by the licensee of insurance principles and coverage in insuring and handling losses involving oriental rugs. Outlining the duties and responsibilities of the licensee by proposing strategies for separating objective information about value attributes from traditional myths and exaggeration. Identifying and placing in perspective various aspects of the consumer market. Outlining an approach for effective use of resources in establishing value and authenticity. Providing a detail understanding of the approach to value used by appraisers using Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and by instructing course participants in the proper understanding and use of appraisal report documents. Surveying various types of loss and describing strategies for preserving value.
Slides, hands-on examples and class participation will be used to foster understanding. Case studies are used to provide relevance and emphasis. Course participants are expected to participate and answer questions.
